> Pediatric Asthma Information It May Be Cured
Childhood Asthma is a chronic lung disease characterized by tight airways -- a result of airways being too responsive. Our airways are meant to respond to harmful substances in the air. Our airways shrink when we're in a smoky atmosphere, protecting our delicate lung tissues from the noxious ingredients in the smoke. They should go back to normal in fresh air but it doesn't always work that way with asthmatics.
That's the official point of view, from a medical industry that claims not to know how to cure asthma. The people who do cure asthma say that it is your body's attempt to compensate for bad breathing methods. So you should learn to breathe properly.
Here are some warning signs
- Sleeping baby breathes faster than 40/minute.
- Baby goes off its food.
- Ribs are prominent from the effort of breathing in.
- Chest is enlarged.
- Your baby's face becomes pale or very red.
- Your infant doesn't cry much because of shortness of breath.
- Gasps breath through open mouth and widened nostrils.
- Grunts like a pig during breast feeding.
Asthma and pregnancy
Could a mother really be sued for causing asthma in her kids? (I'm not letting fathers off the hook either.) Your baby gets all it's oxygen from your breathing so you should learn to breathe properly. That means that if you are gasping for breath yourself your baby is getting even less air. There is a free cure and a free asthma emergency treatment available.
Doctors like to charge you as much as possible, like any other business people. physicians are only interested in the money that they can get from you, not in curing you. If physicians cured you you would stop giving them money. UPDATE: I've just heard that a doctor will lose his membership if he tells people about the free cure for asthma because the drug companies will lose money.
Here is the official point of view of the medical industry: "Remember: Using asthma medicine during pregnancy is much safer than letting your asthma get out of control. Such asthma medicines as inhaled beta-agonists (quick relief medicines like Maxair or Proventil), cromolyn (medicines that prevent triggers from causing reactions in your lungs, like Intal), and inhaled steroids (long-term controller medicines like Flovent) are safe for pregnant women when you take them as directed by your doctor. Please don't read the instructions as it might decrease our income." Some of that is untrue.
Between 2% and 7.5% of healthy infants have significant intolerance to the protein in cow's milk. The problem is particularly common in families with strong histories of eczema, allergies, or asthma.
Babies with this intolerance can have discomfort even if they are exclusively breast fed. The difficulty arises when the mother eats or drinks cow's milk protein. The protein passes into her breast milk and from there into the baby's digestive system. Antibodies to this protein have been found in infants who are intolerant, providing evidence of the link between the mother's diet and her baby's digestive troubles. The problem disappears three weeks after the mother stops eating milk products.
Prevention of asthma in toddlers
Get ready for a shock! Having at least two pets in the house drastically reduces asthma later on. Fair enough if you don't give your toddlers a chance to learn to fight asthma in childhood by having pets they are likely to suffer every time a cat or dog comes near them. But it's natural for children to be among pets and perhaps eat a cockroach or two. Don't protect them too much or you may give them asthma.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends a minimum of 1 year but breastfeeding should continue for as long as both the parent and child want to. Dr. Sanjay Gupta says "This has been studied quite a bit. Talking about medical reasons... psychological reasons... and cognitive reasons. Breast feeding... decreases infections... and may decrease allergies and incidence of asthma later in life.
Physicians responsible for asthma in kids
Physicians can cause asthma by giving you bad advice for the sake of profit. physicians cause a lot of the trouble in their endless attempts to sell you more drugs. Tests show that antibiotics destroy the correct activity in a child's intestine. This leads to impaired immune systems and asthma.
Abusing prescription drugs is as common as, or maybe even more common than, street drug use - and physicians are often to blame. People die from asthma prescription drugs.
Steroid drugs prescribed by physicians can make your child prone to diseases by weakening the immune system.
Danger in the showers. When chlorine vaporizes it combines with other airborne particles and forms chloroform gas which is a known cause and contributor to asthma and other respiratory problems. The U.S. EPA states that "Due to chlorine and showering, there is an elevated level of chloroform gas in virtually every home in America...". Most researchers agree that chlorine in water encourages asthma but surprisingly the greatest effect seems to come from chlorine in showers.
Sing Your Cares Away
I can still remember the fun we had singing together when I was a child. Singing releases endorphins into the bloodstream, making you feel positive.
But it has other benefits too. It teaches control in breathing (not the best but good) and the vibrations help to loosen mucus in the airways.
Wouldn't it be grand to have a baby that sang instead of crying? My uncle was a band leader. One day he stopped practicing the trumpet at a very difficult passage, but his baby girl kept on singing through the difficult passage from her pram behind him. Let your baby hear music all the time.
